II.   Minutes

Motion to accept the minutes that were sent via newsletter.

III.   Report from Chairman

Ron spoke about his experiences at USAG congress.

Point of interest

April 1st, 2002 is the due date for all applications for the All-Academic Award.

There is a National Scholarship Foundation that is accepting applications for anyone who is working toward the Elite level. This scholarship is strictly for college or a community college.

 

IV. Report from Vice-Chairman

Mike spoke on the Judges compensation package that the Ohio Judges representative passed on to him.

 

V. Report from Secretary

Regional Championship dates: April 6th and 7th, 2002.

 

VIII. Committee Reports

Arnold Classic Fitness Weekend Committee

 

Ron spoke on behalf of the ACFWC.

Deadline for Ohio Booster Clubs to help with the meet is November 15, 2001. A list of jobs will be sent out by October 15,2001. There will be a lottery system for picking the jobs available.

Deadline for Ohio Clubs to enter the meet is November 1st, 2001. This is to ensure that no Ohio club will be shut out of the meet.

 

State Championship Site Selection Committee

 

Don Sellman spoke on behalf of the SCSSC.

Some information was passed out at the meeting going over some of the ideas and guidelines that need to be put into effect. For the most part, making sure that we have the safest atmosphere possible at the State meet was emphasized.

There was also discussion on the splitting of Ohio through Columbus for the selection of the state meet.

 

IX. New Business

Jerry Thome Award

Motion to have the recipient of the Jerry Thome Award Congress fee paid by Ohio Boys Gymnastics.

Announcements

March 17th, 2002 is the date for the Class 7 Championship to be help at Mid West Gymnastics.
